An long overdue “Hello”

Hello. It has bee a while since my last blog, I have been super busy with the Illiterate Group Show and Project Hello plus I curated the Mountain Dew White Out Poster Show at Illiterate on May 13th. I have not had the time to post new work on website, but I post new work frequently on my flickr, and I posted the images of my show below! You can also read a feature interview of me on the Illiterate website or listen to The Untitled Art Show interview I did , click here to stream it on their website.

The Illiterate artists and I will be presenting tonight at 7 Minutos at Museo De Las Americas at 6:30, then rushing over to the first ever Illiterate Artist Series film night at 8pm. Be there! Also the closing reception for the group show is this Friday at 6pm!

I’m very fortunate to be doing some freelance work for one of my favorite Beers, Pabst Blue Ribbon! In addition to some design/illustration work (I created the PBR Art Show Denver print promo collateral, and flyer for PBR Boston’s “Reset” event), I also had the opportunity to participate in the Denver PBR Art Show, that was held at Illiterate and Indyink a few weeks ago. I did a 30 x 22″ Oil on Canvas painting titled “Dissection” which was essentially a car-part-esque/technical diagram of the iconic PBR can.

The PBR art show was amazing, for a recap of the show check out the blog I wrote for 303 Magazine.

New home away from home

I have been slacking on my blog as of late, but I do have a good excuse. I started my first artist-residency at Illiterate Gallery at the beginning of this year. I finally have my own studio space, I’m pretty excited! I’m have been up at the wee hours of the night the past few days in the studio finishing up my painting for the PBR Art Show on Saturday, which is turning out pretty cool! I will be doing a little gallery/studio tour with photos for the blog in the next day or so, be sure to check it out!

I’m really into jellyfish right now, just do a google image search “jellyfish” and you will see why, such beautiful creatures that look so alien, but ironically, have been on earth longer than most any other organism. I had a little extra time over the holiday break and decided to play with photoshop, something I haven’t done is a while. Enjoy!
